The Senior Facilities Manager Role
As Senior Facilities Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring every Harts Group restaurant, bar and support location operates safely, efficiently and to the exceptionally high standards our teams and guests expect.
Reporting to our Group Head of Projects & Estates, you'll lead our in-house engineering team, oversee specialist contractors and manage the day-to-day maintenance of our growing estate. From preventative maintenance and statutory compliance to refurbishment projects and new openings, you'll be instrumental in protecting our buildings, supporting our operations and driving continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with commercial thinking. You'll work closely with Operations, Finance and external partners to deliver planned maintenance programmes, manage budgets, improve contractor performance and ensure our restaurants can focus on delivering outstanding hospitality.
We're looking for someone who will:
Lead and develop our in-house maintenance and engineering team
Deliver an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme across all sites
Ensure statutory compliance, health & safety and maintenance records remain fully up to date
Manage external contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring high standards and value for money
Monitor maintenance budgets, contractor spend and asset performance
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce reactive maintenance and extend asset life
Support refurbishment projects and new restaurant openings with operational and technical expertise
Build strong relationships with our restaurant teams, providing practical solutions and exceptional service
Champion a proactive maintenance culture focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement
You'll bring:
Significant experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or Property Maintenance
Experience managing multiple sites within hospitality, retail or leisure
Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and building maintenance
Proven experience leading maintenance teams and managing contractor performance
Commercial awareness with experience managing maintenance budgets
Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems
IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
IWFM membership or equivalent
